The Winston Farm site is best known for hosting the Woodstock ’94 music festival, held in August 1994 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the original historic music festival that attracted more than 500,000 fans.
In 2020, local residents and business owners Tony Montano, John Mullen and Randy Richers purchased Winston Farm from the Schaller family, which had owned it since 1961. The three longtime Saugerties community members bought the property to ensure that its development retains the local character that in so many ways is symbolic of the Hudson Valley.
